With Cetacae I wanted to investigate how the organ fills the space in which it plays. Special emphasis is placed on pauses and their different effects. Echo, imitation and reverberation also play a major role in this piece. The name is derived from Cetacea (Latin for whales) - a group of which are masters of echolocation.
